Humanistic Approach

The Humanistic Approach rejected the notion that we are in some way "sick" as the Psychoanalytic Approach did. Moreover, they found that the Trait Perspective did not always adequately describe personality in the myriad environments that a person may find themselves. It was, to be short, too objective. The Humanistic Approach rather looked at the way in which a successful people are able to achieve their satisfaction with their lives. This movement was lead by Abraham Maslow.
